Surprise Surprise!

At the last minute, Jordan and I decided to go down to North Carolina to visit my dad (who was on business) and my sister (who lives there). My mom was going down to see them, so we decided this would be a great opportunity to surprise and delight them! So we arrived in NC at 1:45 am (after getting lost!), and all fell asleep straight away! Then we planned to surprise dad first. We put Tyler on the floor in front of my parents Hotel room and knocked! It was adorable! See the surprise on my dad's face!! Next stop was my sister's house... although she figured out that we were coming down, she did a great job acting surprised! This is her and her husband Wes, upon our arrival! We all went to a community art festival... walked around and saw the sites... it was quite hot and very crowded... but great to be together. Then we headed to the pool for a cool down... Wes's daughter , McKenzie , was with us for the weekend... It was great to see her too. Everyone came over to my siste

Our little drummer boy

Tyler is privy to frequent drum lessons.... in fact, he has been getting them since he was born! How many drummers can say they were taught the drums from birth??? Well, we will see if this little boy takes to the lessons his daddy is giving him. I have a little video of one of the cutest lessons! So cute! I cannot wait to see what he turns out to do when he is older! For now his is just our little drummer boy! He did great, except when he tried ot eat the drum sticks....

What is it like??

So many times, people ask me how I like being a mom.... and I am filled with so many answers, I don't know what to say. I cannot believe I am able to stay at home with my son every day. I cannot even begin to tell you how grateful to God I am that he would allow me this honor and role in life! I don't know how the mom's who have to work and take their kiddo's to the day care do it?!!? I miss Tyler when he is napping, and cannot imagine leaving him every day. My respect to those out there that do that, for it is no small sacrifice you must endure. I am so grateful to God to give me the son I have, the life I live, and the blessings I am surrounded by! All that to say, here are some photo's and thoughts of what it like in the average day of Tali and Tyler. Each morning, somewhere between 6-8 am Tyler decided to make his appearance into our day... either talking to himself, a little cry, or a loud cry! As tired as I may be, I am usually filled with joy to see his litt

A Day at the Fair Part 2!!!

We went to the fair again today! This time Jordan was able to come and enjoy the many interesting sites and sounds with his son and me! It was a blast! We also got to hang with our friends Josh and Kelley, who will have their own little bundle of joy this time next year! Enjoy the pictures!

A Day at the Park

Just some fun pictures of my boy at the park! It was his first time in the swing!

Sleepy Days

On days when all you want to do is this.... It is helpful to remember the beauty and pleasant sunshine we have been able to experience these past few days! Tyler loves anything green. Every time I am out in the garden with him, he is trying to put the leaves and petals into his mouth. He watches the leaves blow in the wind outside our kitchen window, when he is eating... and he stares down at the grass... It makes me wonder what he is thinking. Autumn is on its way! Here come some of the refreshing days of fall... hopefully sooner than later! And with those days, come the return of us going outside for more than a walk to and from the car.
