Many faces of Tyer...

Playful... Curious... Competitive ... Happy... Surprised... Hungry... " Ohhh ..."/ Monkey Face "You are silly" = entertained... Interested... Silly... Coming up... the scowl.... ;)

PopPop and Tyler

One of Tyler's three Grandfathers... is known to the kids as "PopPop." And what a PopPop he is. Always seeking to make the kids laugh and giggle, Tyler has been won over by his love for him! Getting a kiss from Tyler can be a challenge, he gets all squirmy on you! But PopPop managed to give him one before he got the scowl... Ah... here is the scowl mentioned before... PopPop sure is silly! I love to see our son get to know and love our family! And am so grateful that we have so many people who love our son! We are so grateful to God for you PopPop! Thanks for loving our son so much!

Rapping about Taxes?

So, I love my friends, the Sohns. They just make me laugh so much. Well, they found out about a Tax Rap Video Contest. Vanilla Ice is the MC and he invited the public to submit their own rap video into the contest about Taxes and Turbo Tax... sounds fun right?? Cause we all love to sing about our taxes...especially when there is a sweet prize ($25,000)! Well, here, my friend Steve has put together an impressive rap... Enjoy! If you like the video, go to the YouTube site and vote for them... that would be a nice tax return, eh?!

the things he gets into

Tyler is beginning to show his mischievous side these days... getting into things and making messes. I think he may have been taking notes from one of his cousins... Just yesterday, I was making breakfast and he opened the pantry door and began eating Cheerios out of the box.... only to get greedy and turn the box upside down and pour out all of them! I came around the corner to the sound of shaking, and him holding the box with both arms in the air shaking it up and down. I tried not to laugh! He has also discovered how much fun it is to go through all of mommy's things. He really likes to do this in the bathroom. He goes straight for the cabinet, and starts taking things out. Like cotton balls, and tissues, and toilet paper... After he has taken what he wants out, he just sits down and plays with it all! He found some of his "dishes" and began playing the drums on them, then eating them... And the grossest of all, is that he is very curious about the things that are in

Tackle/Tickle Time

Something Jordan does with Tyler, almost every day, is Tackle/Tickle time. He sits on the floor with Tyler and counts down, "1....2....3.... TACKLE!!!!" And just grabs Tyler , tosses him to the floor, ever so gently.... and tickles him. When Jordan first started to do this, Tyler would just lay there, and look at him... but now, he throws himself down and laughs and laughs. Jordan has even taught him how to tackle one of his stuffed doggy's... video of that coming soon! For now, enjoy these pictures from our living room to yours... The pursuit... The Tackle... The Laughter... Oh, another fun thing from Camp Kauflin ... we set up a tent in our living room for a few days.... it was on one of those super cold and wet days a few weeks ago, when I knew we would not be going anywhere... so we made the living room a little more fun! Tyler really liked being inside the tent! Especially when Daddy reads to him! Here is a live action shot of tickle/tackle time!

More Music

Tyler will try to play a beat on anything you show him... from the tables, to the couches, to water bottles... even on mommy and daddy! Three generations of Kauflin men, sitting around the piano! It is so sweet to watch Tyler try to play the piano and even sweeter to see him light up when someone is actually making it sound good! Little hands, big hands... we will see what the future holds. Pounding out some notes for us... The prodigy... Here is an example of Tyler playing the drums on anything, and then he kinda zones out at the end...
