NA

We are heading south to the New Attitude conference today! This is a conference in Louisville Kentucky for single men and women, that Sovereign Grace puts on... and our singles pastor is in charge! You may wonder why two married people with a baby are going to a conference for singles... well, we lead a singles Caregroup (small group) and Jordan is the drummer in the Single's Band! So we are packing what seems like our whole house to go on this trip! Who knew you would need so much stuff someone so little! Our bags are packed and we are off. Another wife (and a mommy) of one of the guys in the band is also going to Louisville, so we made some shirts for our boys... see below! We will be back next Tuesday... so have a great weekend, and I will let you know how the conference goes!

Applesauce

Tyler ate his first real food meal today!!! I just wanted to see how he would like it, so I fed him some applesauce, and to my surpise and great delight.... he loved it! He made some funny faces, but he ate 1/4 of the jar! He is still doing the whole "tounge-thrust" thing... but he swallowed pretty much all that I fed him! He sure is cute with an applesauce face! Tyler's first meal!!!!

A GREAT-GRAND Heritage

This post is coming a week later than I would have liked... you see, we had the opportunity to visit to Great-Grandparents two weeks ago, and it has been very busy since then. It was such a treat to visit with our family... both mine and Jordan's. We are so blessed to have family close enough to share a bit of our lives with! On Mother's Day, we drove up to PA with my parents to visit Grandma Rose and Aunt Trish And Uncle Dave. It is always a joy to spend time with them. I have so many wonderful memories of years past with them, and now am making new ones with my own son. It is just amazing to watch my Grandmother holding my son. It just blesses me so much that God has kept my family close and together over the years. The next day, we packed up and headed south to somewhere in VA... not sure where we were exactly...good thing I wasn't driving. All I know is that Bob knew the way! So we drove for about 2 1/2 hours to visit Bob's dad for his 80th birthday! It was so speci

The countdown!

Only 12 days till we pack up and hit the road for the beach! I can hardly wait to go on vacation! It will be Tyler's first summer at the beach, and we are so looking forward to showing him the ocean and the sand for the very first time! In anticipation of the summer, I took some pictures of my cutie... who is also, counting down!!!

Tyler's first playdate!

Last friday, Tyler had his very first playdate! We got together with some new mommies, and just laughed and talked, and watched our kids do silly things. We had a great time, and I am looking forward to the next playdate... at this point, these times are more fun for me than Tyler. The only unfortunate thing for Tyler was that he was the ONLY BOY!!!! Here are a few of Tyler's new gal pals.... (sadly... Meg Wilcox and Nyia Smart not pictured) Caly Bradshaw.... Katie Alexander... And soon to be joinbing us... Faith Boisvert.... What a blessing it is to have girlfriends in the same season, experiencing God's grace and mercies. It is great to be able to be mom's together! Can't wait till next time!

Morning Time Fun

One of my favorite times of day, is between 8 am and 9:30 am.... this is when Tyler and I have our morning time fun together. He is usually just so happy and joyful at this time, so we sit together and play. He usually tries to eat his blankie or a toy.... but the time is filled with smiles, funny faces and lots of laughing. One of my favorite things, are the funny faces Tyler makes. They just make me laugh! He brings such joy to our lives, all day long.... but in the morning, he is particularly joyful! What a great way to wake up and start the day!

4 Month Check-Up

My little peanut had his 4 month Dr.'s visit yesterday... As usual, I look forward to these visits, so I can get the scoop on my growing boy! Here is what he is weighing in at: 15lbs 8 oz (he has gained 2lbs 3 oz, and this is the 60th percentile) 25.75 inches long (he has grown 2.75 inches, and this is in the 90th percentile- so hopefully he will be tall like his daddy!) 16.5 inches around his little head (he has grown .75 inches, and this is the 50th percentile) Overall he has grown quite a bit since birth... almost doubling his birth weight and has grown 4 inches longer... no wonder he just looks so big! He is! The Dr. said he looks great and that it appears that he is thriving as a boy being nursed! He did get some shots, and it seemed he cried harder this time than he did at the 2 month check-up. I chose not to take any pictures this time... as he was just too sad. But here is one from when we got home later that day...

Happy Anniversary

Monday, May 1, 2006 marked Jordan and my 2 year anniversary! Hard to believe it has gone by so quickly. Jordan surprised me and borrowed a friends BMW and took me down to Old Town Alexandria to a favorite restaurant of ours called the Chart House. We had a delicious dinner and a romantic evening just talking away... we had a great table with a view of the water and boats and the sun set. We spent a lot of the evening reflecting on the goodness of God to us this past year... so much has happened! The birth of Tyler was a huge highlight, the biggest one for both of us... followed by the purchase of our house and a few other "lesser" blessings!! We are so blessed to be deeper in love now than when we first said "I do." God has been so GOOD.
