.a baby shower.

I recently had the privilege to help plan and throw a baby shower for a dear friend, Sarah, who is about to have her first baby boy! Needless to say, I had so much fun planning with our friend Evelyn and getting to do all the little things I could have wanted to do for a friend! I was able to design the invites and decorate Sarah's beautiful home. It was a wonderful time! Here is the invite as well as some pictures of the shower.

Blueberry Delishiousness

I found this delicious recipe on Southern Living.Com this past week an made it for CG. It has to be one of my new favorite desserts! I LOVE blueberries and so this just looked too good to be true. It actually was super easy to make, since you do all the prep 8 hours before you serve it! Because we also LOVE coconut around here, I added Coffee Mate Coconut Creamer to the amount of milk required, and I think it tasted even better! Enjoy the yummy goodness! Ingredients 1 (16-ounce) French bread loaf, cubed 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, cut into pieces 3 cups fresh blueberries, divided 6 large eggs 4 cups milk (I substituted 2 cups of creamer for two of the cups of milk here) 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted 1/

.Superbuddies.

I love that my little boys love to play with and chase each other all around the house. Watching them grow in their friendship and truly enjoy being buddies, is one of the sweetest things I get to experience as a mommy. There are many times when they are tormenting each other and I feel overwhelmed by the craziness they stir up, but then there are so many sweet moments where they just melt my heart and I get filled with so much joy and faith for what lies in store for them as they grow older. The sweetest times I have recently been privileged to be a part of, are as simple as looking back in the car, and seeing them hold hands, or hearing Tyler ask Jack if wants help with something, an the way they light up after naps when they see each other.... what a joy and privilege I have to be a part of these two sweet boys lives! Just last night, while I was getting dinner ready, I poked my head out the front door to see Tyler giving Jack rides in their wagon. They had gotten Jack all strappe

Summer Outings

With two crazy little boys, and not a ton of living space, we go out a lot! I try ti keep the boys busy in the mornings so that our afternoons are on the quiet side, and so we all can take a nap! A few weeks ago, we went to Arlington to hang with our friend Ali. We took the kids to the marina off of GW Parkway and just let them splash and play in the water. It was a perfect summer morning and we had a blast. Here are some picts of our little outing. Apparently, this is where the DC Duck Boat tour enters the water... but we didn't even hear the boat come up behind us! Between the planes overhead and the kids laughter, the boat literally was behind us before we were even out of the water!

Baby Update!

We are a happy 20 weeks and 4 days here at the Kauflin Casa! Baby BOY #3 is doing so well, kicking and swimming around quite happily in my tummy. We had our big ultrasound a week ago and to our great surprise, we found another healthy little boy squirming around like crazy. The sonographer was "chasing" after him to get the shots she needed. So, all the little flutters I had been feeling for a few weeks, look like they are heading up to be some big ones not too far from now, if he keeps up all that moving around! He weighed around 11 oz and was right on the due date from my 8 week sono. I was never sure what my exact due date was, because the due date according to my LMP and the 8 week sono were not the same. So we were waiting until the 20 week to get a confirmation of the due date. So now, it is officially November 29th. A week exactly after Jack's birthday! So far, in the world of pregnancy, things are pretty much textbook. All the aches and pains and funny things the

.stuff.

Yesterday, we went blueberry picking and I forgot to bring my camera, but a month ago, I did bring my camera when we went strawberry picking, and I figured that I should post those pictures before it becomes apple picking season! Getting my boys to take a picture together is often more work than worth the picture! They end up kissing, tackling or falling over before I can get a single shot! This was the best out of 10 tries! I finally gave up! I think it is funny how much strawberry juice ended up on Jack! This boy is one climber. He can climb the ladder to Tyler's bunk bed with ease. He was up on the fence before I could stop him! Crazy boy! love his big tummy... yummy goodness... Little touble maker, would pick the berries out of my box and take one bite, then throw it right back in the box. We left a trail of half eaten berries everywhere! I promise more picts to come. I have been neglecting taking and posting them, and hope to get better at it!
