Helping Mommy Cook

Tyler loves to be in the kitchen with me. Whenever a pot is full of boiling water- he stares at the steam in wonder.... he is facinated with the microwave, as it lights up and beeps at us... and loves to play with any utensils I am not using. So it has become a tradition, that when dinner time rolls around, you will find this little "chef in the making" working with his momma! Although he uses most of the utensils for teething objects... I dont know what he is thinking... but it sure is cute.

Sweetest Encouragement

Below is a quote that was given to me by a dear friend at my baby shower. I have often read this quote and found so much encouragement in the sweet words. Here is a sweet, fragrant mouth to kiss; here are two feet to make music with their pattering about our home. Here is a soul to train for God, and the body in which it dwell is worth all it will cost, since it is the abode of a kingly tenant. I may see less of friends, but I have gained one dearer than them all. Yes my precious baby, you are welcome to your mother's heart, welcome to her time, her strength, her health, her most tender cares, to her lifelong prayers! Oh how rich I am, how truly, how wonderously blest! ~Elisabeth Prentiss

Funny Face

How can you not love this face???!?! One of the things I love the most about Tyler, is how expressive his little face is. Even before he knew what he was doing, he would make the cutest faces.... This is often the face I see up close and personal, when he is about to smother my face with kisses... (well, that is what I call them anyhow....I guess it is more just a slobber session....) Love his face! Ah, a thoughtful moment... probobly thinking..."Mommy, will you please get that camera out of my face!" I think he was going to try to eat the camera on this one.... This is my little funny face!

Just too funny

I had to share this funny moment with Tyler. I guess I will always be a cheerleader at heart- so I was cooking dinner and decided to do a little "cheer" of Tyler's name for him to see what he would do.... and he just laughed so hard- it was on the verge of crying! See the little video below!
