The Night Watches

It is hard to believe that 4 months have come and gone so quickly! How I have enjoyed this little boy so much. He has grown incredibly fast- too fast- and has just become so dear to my heart. He tries to sit up on his own, leaning forward or falling over after a few moments. But he is getting there. He is so ticklish, and has such a sweet giggle. Time is passing too quickly, and I am doing all I can to try and savor this little bundle of joy every moment. Even when he has a cold (which we all have had for the past week) he still snuggles and smiles. What a blessing he is to us!

There are so many areas in my life where I find I have much to learn... from home management, to training our kids, to how to serve and love my husband more. Today I find a new item to add to that list of things I have much to learn about: my new camera lens!! This is a fun one and I look forward to many "lessons" and practice. I am so grateful to my family for purchasing the lens for my birthday! Thank you all so much! I am already enjoying it so much and am so grateful to each of you for it! So here are the first picts with the new 50mm lens. Because I have a D40 (which I simply love having- thanks baby) it does not auto focus... so I get to learn how to shoot manually! Fun times! Most of the pictures I took were completely out of focus.... that will teach me not to take pictures without my glasses on! the very first ones.... i love how his feet make a little heart... like a kid after Christmas, I had to start trying it out over breakfast...

I love that he chases his shadow, and runs on his tippie toes... I love that everything around him is interesting and new... I love the way he looks at me with his big blue eyes... I love the way he looks in daddy's hat... I love his sweet little face and the many expressions he makes... I love that he is a little mischievous, and that it is so obvious by the look he gets in his eyes. I love his sweet little kissable lips... I love my big little boy...

U2, IMAX Theater, the love of my life beside me....need I say more?

Isn't it crazy the difference 3 months makes!!! The two cousins.. 14.5 weeks apart... my how quickly they change! We have a tradition to take a picture of our kiddos together.... My little blue eyes... I did not edit these pictures at all.. Jack has the bluest eyes I have ever seen. Oooo, I just want to squeeze him. Isn't it great how his eyes smile too? love his little chin and chubby cheeks... my happy boy.... he is truly a sweet happy boy! Looking at grandma....

Baby Gavin arrived into this world at 7:02 pm tonight! Megan pushed only 15 minutes, and he is perfect! He looks just like his sisters- which means, he looks just like his daddy. He weighed 8lbs 1.5 oz and is 20.25 inches long. He has a head of blond hair and very long fingers and toes. His little cry sounds just like Girlie and Julia. Here are some pictures of the sweet boy for you to enjoy!

As of 6:40 she was "going to begin pushing in 10-15 minutes..." So we are on our way to meet the little guy! He will most likely be there when we arrive.. so pictures coming! Can't wait!

Still waiting... isn't labor a beautiful thing? You just never know how long it will take or what it will look like! So Megan is 6-7 cm now. We will see how much longer Gavin makes us wait to meet him.

I was certainly wrong about the 11 am guess!!! Just a quick update... it has been a slow going day! She is 5 cm, not sure how effaced, and the baby is at 0 station.... hopefully the next update will be a big one! Fun times!

The broke her water some time after nine and the contractions are getting bigger and longer. When I talked to Kerrin, she was en Queue for an epidural... so I am sure she got one by now. Oh and she was 3 cm and 50% and the baby was at -1 station. I bet the baby will be here by 11 am! More to come!

Another little bundle of joy is on his way to meeting us today! Megan is at the hospital all checked in and they started to giver her Pitocin around 8:30!!! No turning back now! Can't wait to have another cousin for the boys to play with and love on! Updates will follow as I get them!
