The Night Watches

Where has the time gone??? This little angel now has 2 teeth (bottom ones), rolls around EVERYWHERE, is fitting into 9-12 month clothes, and melts my heart more and more everyday.

We are back from our trip, and we had such a great time! I am so glad we went, and truly feel like we were so blessed the entire time! We had great weather, mid 80's to low 90's with a constant breeze on the beach. The rain only came at night, and the days were just about perfect for the beach! The boys did GREAT on the beach... not so great at other times... but it wasn't horrible, and there was certainly a ton of grace! The drive didn't take too long, and we were in bed by midnight... the kids were not the best sleepers... and since we were all in one room, every time Jack woke up, I had to grab him quickly, so that he wouldn't wake up Tyler... so the first night (well almost every night) I was up every few hours.... that part was not pleasant... but I am telling you, the grace God lavished on me me during the days, was amazing... I was hardly tired during the day! I left my camera at the room the first day, so my pictures jump right into our 4th of July celebrat...

We are heading south today, well actually tonight.... after Jordan gets home from work, we are hitting the road and heading to the Outer Banks for a vacation with my family! We will be staying in Corolla for the first time, so I am so looking forward to getting to know that part of the OB. I am so excited to see how Tyler and Jack do at the beach. Last year, Tyler LOVED the sand and the ocean, so I am really looking forward to seeing him be able to run around and play! It will be fun to see how Jack does, if he tries to eat the sand, or if he hates it.... I can't wait! PLUS, my sister and her husband and new baby girl will be there!!!!! A true family vacation! Hard to believe that this time a year ago we were all in Italy together!!! These two picts are from Tyler's first trip to the beach... crazy ehh? I was just looking back to when Tyler was a little younger than Jack when we went to the beach, and how much he has changed!!! So, I will make sure to take tons of pictures so ...

I didn't realize until I found the flowers at my door step that today marked 50 wonderful months of life lived with my darling husband... I didn't realize he had been keeping track.... I didn't realize how utterly undeserving of his love I am (or had forgotten yet again!)... I love this man! Do you ever just get so filled with joy and love at the same time, you just have to share it with someone...???? Happy 50 months baby! How wonderfully richly blessed a life we live in the grace and goodness of God! He has made all of this life, this adventure, with its twists and turns and ups and downs, a thing to be treasured and always to give him more Glory for it is all from his hands! ... a little snap shot into a happy Sunday morning before church.... all in our jammies... loving living life toge ther hard to get Tyler to sit still long enough to take a picture!!
