So many times, people ask me how I like being a mom.... and I am filled with so many answers, I don't know what to say. I cannot believe I am able to stay at home with my son every day. I cannot even begin to tell you how grateful to God I am that he would allow me this honor and role in life! I don't know how the mom's who have to work and take their kiddo's to the day care do it?!!? I miss Tyler when he is napping, and cannot imagine leaving him every day. My respect to those out there that do that, for it is no small sacrifice you must endure. I am so grateful to God to give me the son I have, the life I live, and the blessings I am surrounded by!
All that to say, here are some photo's and thoughts of what it like in the average day of Tali and Tyler.
Each morning, somewhere between 6-8 am Tyler decided to make his appearance into our day... either talking to himself, a little cry, or a loud cry! As tired as I may be, I am usually filled with joy to see his little face looking up at me!
We start each day with a little song, called "Good Morning."
This is followed by a quick diaper change! As soon as you walk in Tyler's room, you are greeted by a smiling face and an awful smell! So, before any of the fun begins, we HAVE to "clear the air!" Tyler has been grabbing his feet lately and trying to put them in his mouth!
Some days, we venture out to hang with friends, other days we sit and play at home!
Tyler is great company on the many outings and errands we take during the week! He is the center of attention at every checkout counter and store!
I am getting used to being greeted after him, if at all!!! :)
Then we come home and begin to get dinner ready! We also get to see Beth come home after a long day at work! She is Tyler's girlfriend (and our renter and friend)!
And then the moment Tyler has been waiting for all day......
DADDA GETS HOME!!!!!!!
Then it is dinner and bath time! Tyler has finally gotten comfortable in the bath tub (well, really the sink) and makes a huge mess. I have thought about wearing my apron several times! It is just so much fun to watch him splash around and try to eat the soap!
We end the night with one last play time with Dadda and Tyler and myself, then off to bed!
Believe it or not, we miss him while he is sleeping! How kind the Lord has been to our little family. How richly he has blessed us! We live a simple, yet gloriously blessed life. I stand amazed, day after day, that I get to be a wife and a mommy! So what is it like? And how do I like it??? It is wonderful, better than I could have hoped for or dreamed of- although, sometimes hard, but worth it every day.
