It is amazing how something so little can change your life completely. I began this blog a little over a year ago, aware of how tired I was, how utterly dependant on the Lord I was in my weakness. The Night Watches, was begun as I found myself up in the middle of the night caring for our new baby. How God taught me to seek his face in those hours!
Recently I have experienced the night watches again, as Tyler was sick and up several times in the night, either sick or hungry! It was such a good reminder to my soul as I cried out to him for strength in those moments. He met me in such a significant way, giving me joy and strength in each moment. It made the title of our family blog be appropriate again!!!
And again, in a little while this blog title will be all to appropriate again... I am already experiencing a glimps of what it will be like!
For the past 3 weeks we have had something of a secret. I have been aching to tell the world, but wanted to wait until I had some better pictures to post for you to enjoy...Almost two years ago, I had a similar experience, and just like then, it seemed surreal somehow. Almost as if I had made it up, or willed the lines into existence.
So yes, in case you hadn't come to the conclusion that the two lines you see are a pregnancy test, then let me just tell you... I AM PREGNANT!!!
At first, I didn't think the test was positive, as one of the lines was kind of faint. So I took another test to be sure, a few days later.... and I would say that these lines are a little darker, and definitely there!!!!
We told out families right away, and now you all can share in the joy of pregnancy and soon to be baby #2! I promise to keep posting on how things are going. So far, by the grace of God, I had not felt sick at all. I have experienced the fatigue and frequent bathroom breaks, but other than that, it has been a breeze! I am praying for more of that!
Here is a picture of our first sonogram. It is hard to see anything in it actually! The baby had a good heart beat, but measured a little small, so I am going back in a week for another sonogram.
The goal is to have a fit pregnancy... with Tyler, I got big fast! So I am hoping that I can maintain a more slender appearance this time around... but we will see. So, for your viewing pleasure, here is me at 5 weeks pregnant... notice there is no belly!!! We will see how long that lasts!
We are so excited and cannot believe we are going to have another child. Tyler has brought so much joy to our lives, and we cannot wait to add to the abundance we have already experienced. My due date is December 3, 2007. Our babies will be almost two years apart! Amazing! We would love your prayers, and are so grateful for the opportunity to trust the Lord for yet another little one!
