My good friend Rakel and I took our kids to the petting zoo a few weeks ago, and were we ever surprised to see what seemed like every pre-school and elementary school in a 5-mile-radius also at the petting zoo! The parking lot was packed and there were children everywhere! When I went during the summer, the zoo was practically empty, so this was quite a shock! The time was fun but certainly different from the last time I went!
The sky was a little cloudy and it seemed like rain was only moments away, and the groups of kids that were there all had food for the animals- so the animals were not too interested in the grass Tyler and Faith were trying to feed them!!! But we made it fun.... that was until the very end... which I will tell you about at the end of this post....
My sweet friend Rakel is such a beautiful woman from the inside out! I love how full of life and love she is! Even at 7 months pregnant she is lovely!
Don't let faith's daddy see these two...
the constant animal lover....
OK, so why this trip to the zoo ended in a not so nice way... Jack was getting tired of sitting in the stroller, Tyler was getting quite whiney and complaining a whole lot, and it kept sprinkling on us....
After he told me he had a tummy ache a few times, we decided with all the other issues, that it was time to leave. I was pushing the stroller out to the entrance, when Tyler just decided he didn't want to walk anymore and asked me to carry him. Rakel was pushing the stroller and Tyler started to shout at me, "Mommy, my tummy hurts..... Mommy STOP walking!!!" A second later, I was covered (the whole front of me and back and hair) with throw-up. Yeah... Tyler threw up on me.... yuck! Rakel took pictures, which I do not have... but am not sure you need a picture to get a visual of the situation!
So we walked out to the car.... I luckily had a tank top on under my shirt and was able to peel of the most offensive smelling part of my attire. We drove home in a car filled with the stinky smells of an upset tummy from my boy and three tired kids and moms! It was fun, and certainly memorable!
Pictures to come from our "school- days" later on!!!
